LISBON -- The Portuguese airline TAP said on Wednesday that it would cancel 360 flights scheduled for Dec. 8-9 due to a strike of the National Union of Aviation Flight Personnel.
The decision was to avoid "uncertainties for customers," said the airline in a statement. It estimated losses of around eight million euros (8.3 million U.S. dollars). (Portugal-Society-Flights-Strike)

RAMALLAH -- Two Palestinians on Wednesday died of the wounds sustained from Israeli soldiers' gunfire around the northern West Bank city of Nablus, said the Palestinian Ministry of Health in a press statement.

TEHRAN -- The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami announced on Wednesday that the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and accompanying officials will travel to Tehran for talks.
"Negotiations between Iran and the IAEA are still ongoing to reach a concrete and workable plan," Eslami told the official IRNA news agency. (Iran-IAEA-Nuke Talks)

HELSINKI -- The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) has updated its recommendations on the use of COVID-19 vaccines for children younger than 12 years.
In the future, it is no longer recommended to offer vaccinations to healthy children aged 5 to 11 because they have a very low risk of severe COVID-19 disease, Hanna Nohynek, chief physician at the THL, said. (Finland-COVID-19-Vaccines)
