CAIRO -- Egypt has so far taken in 121,000 Sudanese fleeing the armed clashes that broke out in Sudan on April 15, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
The data was revealed by Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry during his meeting with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Filippo Grandi in Geneva earlier in the day, the ministry said in a statement. (Egypt-Sudan-Refugees)

JERUSALEM -- The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Thursday that it had shot down a drone that crossed into Israeli territory from Lebanon.
The drone was identified and monitored until it was shot down, according to an IDF statement. The military did not say who operated the drone or whether it was armed, adding that there were no injuries or damage in the incident. (Israel-Lebanon-Hezbollah Drone)

TEHRAN -- Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian expressed optimism on Thursday regarding the ongoing negotiations to revive the 2015 nuclear deal and remove Western sanctions.
Amir-Abdollahian, making the remarks in a meeting attended by the country's diplomatic personnel, emphasized that "good" progress has been made toward the conclusion of the talks, according to Iranian Students' News Agency. (Iran-Nuclear Deal-FM)

TEHRAN -- Iran unveiled and successfully test-launched on Thursday its latest domestically-developed ballistic missile, known as Kheibar, according to the official news agency IRNA.
With a range of 2,000 kilometers and a warhead capacity of 1,500 kilograms, the missile showcases a unique blend of strategic and tactical features, the IRNA said, adding the new weapon's guidance and control system operates with "complete immunity" against electronic warfare attacks.
