SHARJAH, 3rd May, 2025 (WAM) - The Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH) participated in the "Third Cultural Forum" organised by the Faculty of Media at Cairo University in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The event also featured participation from several embassies and cultural attaches accredited in Egypt.
The institute's participation reflected the richness of Emirati cultural heritage, allowing university students to explore aspects of the UAE's folklore through live demonstrations of traditional men's and women's attire, as well as Emirati hospitality arts. Additionally, models of folk arts and authentic handicrafts were presented, expressing the cultural identity and deep heritage of the UAE.
The forum is one of the most prominent cultural events at Cairo University, held annually to celebrate cultural diversity and promote civilizational dialogue among peoples. It serves as an interactive platform that brings together students from various nationalities and cultures. The event also helps integrate international students into university life, enhancing their sense of belonging to Egypt as a "second homeland" by showcasing their heritage and traditions in an atmosphere of constructive cultural exchange.
This participation aligns with the Sharjah Institute for Heritage's efforts to build cultural communication bridges with academic institutions and youth communities in the Arab world and beyond. It highlights the significance of Emirati heritage as a means of mutual understanding and a human value that transcends geographical boundaries.
