ABU DHABI,4th June, 2025 (WAM) - Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, received Maria Belovas, Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to the United Arab Emirates, today at his Majlis in Abu Dhabi.
At the beginning of the meeting, Sheikh Nahyan warmly welcomed Ambassador Belovas, emphasising the depth of the friendly relations and mutual understanding between the UAE and the Republic of Estonia, and reaffirming the shared commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation across a range of fields.
The discussion focused on opportunities to strengthen collaboration in key areas including education, digital technology, innovation, and culture, in addition to exchanging expertise in the digital domain, where Estonia is internationally recognized for its leadership.
The two sides also reviewed joint efforts to promote tolerance and coexistence, highlighting the importance of fostering dialogue among cultures and peoples to advance peace, understanding, and mutual respect around the world.
Maria Belovas expressed her sincere appreciation to Sheikh Nahyan for the warm reception, and commended the UAE's pioneering role in promoting the values of tolerance and human fraternity. She also affirmed Estonia's interest in further expanding cooperation with the UAE in areas of shared strategic importance.
This meeting reflects Sheikh Nahyan's continued commitment to building bridges of communication and collaboration with diplomatic missions accredited to the UAE, and to strengthening the country's global position as a hub for dialogue and cultural exchange.
